POSITION OVERVIEW


The Waste Reduction and Recycling Account Executive works in North America with a mission of increasing recycling, reducing waste, and improving services for millions of people. The individual in this role is responsible for qualifying and closing new business, driving referral business, maintaining a forecast and sales pipeline, and ultimately meeting sales targets. Approximately 30% client and business travel is expected for this role.


RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

  • Manages, prioritizes, and organizes pipeline for maximum efficiency in meeting targets.
  • Leverages product features, values, marketing, and other resources.
  • Stays current with trends in the solid waste and recycling industry.
  • Follows, maintains, and continually improves the lead generation process.
  • Works with marketing to develop educational campaigns designed to promote engagement.
  • Ensures all sales activities are recorded and tracked accurately.
  • Collaborates with internal teams and departments to maximize value and success.
  • Demonstrates strong personal communication and presentation skills to establish interest, credibility, and trust.
  • Identifies trends, market insights, and common objections.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3-5 years of direct sales experience in software and/or IT services/technology environment.
  • Experience selling to governmental organizations, RFPs, and cooperative purchasing programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, communication, solid waste/renewables, or related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in new business acquisitions related to SasS and/or IT services/technology.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with CRMs (Hubspot/ SalesForce).
  • Comfort with spreadsheets (Excel/ Google Sheets).
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask, prioritize time, and maintain attention to detail.
