    POSITION OVERVIEW

    This Accountant is a hands-on process owner for ASC 606 Revenue, balance sheet account management, commission cost accounting and inventory accounting. This role will also support our professional services input and output-based accounting as well as our trial and pilot program accounting. The role is to be a strong partner with our revenue operations, customer operations and accounts receivable department that will drive system and process change. This role will be a critical partner with system implementations and improvements, policy and procedure definition as well as risk mitigation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    ● Review agreements to determine the correct revenue treatment under the guidance of ASC 606.
    ● Process and update Sage Intacct and SalesForce.com objects including but not limited to revenue plans, opportunity data, and contract data.
    ● Manage revenue accounting balance sheet accounts including but not limited to Contract Assets, Deferred Revenue, Inventory and Deferred COGS.
    ● Update and maintain our Revenue subledger to General Ledger reconciliation.
    ● Ensure accuracy in our reporting and process for monthly COGS activity.
    ● Drive process improvements in our quote to cash activities within SalesForce.com and Sage Intacct.
    ● Conduct period over period flux analysis of all revenue accounting activity.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    ● 4+ years of Revenue Accounting Experience specifically for SAAS, Software, Professional Services, Hardware, and other multi-element agreement structures.
    ● Understanding of Gross vs. Net determination for accounting of third-party products and services.
    ● Clear written and oral communication skills via multiple platforms and tools.
    ● Desire to engage both as a direct contributor while finding and implementing process improvements.
    ● Working knowledge of the Sage Intacct Financial System for Multiple Element Arrangements Functions a plus
    ● Proven track record of problem solving, taking ownership and being bold in approaching challenges.
    ● Proven track record of working cross functionally and collaboratively with customers, vendors and other internal departments.
    ● BA/BS degree in accounting or related, or equivalent experience
