POSITION OVERVIEW

Working as part of the UK Sales and Marketing team, the Account Manager will identify new sales opportunities, as well as provide commercial support to existing customer accounts to maximise retention and sales revenue. They will and liaise with inside sales representatives to develop these opportunities and expand the company’s prospecting efforts. The role will involve many remote and face to face meetings with our customers. The Account Manager will have a specific territory and new business opportunity target. The account manager is responsible both for the development of new business and in upselling existing accounts.

They will also be helping public sector clients deliver green services to the public more effectively by using appropriate technology. The candidate will likely have 3+ years of relevant experience of B2B enterprise software field account management experience. Candidates with experience of working with UK local authorities or the waste industry are also particularly welcome to apply.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively prospect and develop new clients for WebAspx and Routeware Global product line within your assigned territory.
  • Manage the commercial relationship on existing accounts to maximise retention and client revenue whilst ensuring value to the client.
  • Responsible for the all annual contract renewals, working with the renewal team.
  • Identify and qualify new software/SAS opportunities to extend service offering to new Webaspx lines of business at existing accounts.
  • Identify and prosecute new sales opportunities for existing client lines of business.
  • Manage your territory and effectively communicate to other internal departments as well as fully utilize Salesforce for all CRM activities.
  • Act as a source of intelligence on the customer base, correlating key information across the client base systematically.

EXPERIENCE

  • a) Successful experience in enterprise software sales. Previously held an account management position in a technology business or other similar experience of developing close commercial or techno-commercial relationships with customers OR other appropriate Customer facing role in the Waste industry.
  • b) Experience of renewing annual or other term customer contracts.
  • c) Strong negotiations and sales expertise.
  • d) Clear verbal and written communicator.
  • e) Strong interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients and with the company’s technical and commercial staff. E.g., able to manage commercial positions with clients in relation to price rises and at the same time deal with any issues escalated by the client.
  • f) Able to travel within the UK regularly.
  • g) Experience of giving presentations to varied audiences.
  • h) Full UK driving license
