    POSITION OVERVIEW

    If you are a Senior Software Engineer with winforms knowledge and want to work in the M2M (machine to machine) space, then we are very interested in talking with you! You will primarily be helping us build and refine our suite of in-truck mobile applications, assisting with the design/architecture of new product lines, and integrating with third-party hardware and systems. This is fun work with many new features to be added and the chance to play around with new technologies.


    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

    • Architect, design, and write code solutions for Routeware products primarily, but not limited to, the On-Board Computer mobile apps
    • Work with external hardware to integrate into our mobile application(s) and their data workflow
    • Influence and contribute to team discussions and incorporate feedback/communication from the broader community
    • Consistently share best practices and improve processes within the team
    • Actively participate in quality assurance activities including writing instrumented and unit tests, and performing integration and system testing
    • Support activities related to rolling out new releases to customers
    • Participate in agile and scrum-like engineering processes including daily standups, code reviews, sprint planning, and paired programming as appropriate
    • Provide technical assistance to Customer Support, including problem diagnosis and issue resolution
    • Other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Required

      • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience using C#, winforms, REST APIs, and JSON
      • Excellent understanding of SOLID principles and OOD
      • Experience with code versioning tools, continuous integration, and unit testing (Git, MSTest, and similar)
      • Team player with the willingness and ability to collaborate across multiple projects with team members in the UK, Canada, and US
      • Strong work ethic, along with a high level of integrity
      • Experience with Agile/Lean methodologies
      • Great written and verbal communication skills

      Preferred

      • Experience interfacing with external hardware
      • Data Analysis skills
      • Cloud-based experience such as SaaS and AWS
      • GPS and mobile mapping solutions (Google, HERE, etc)
      • Driving experience
