The Director of Partner/Reseller Initiatives will help manage the on-boarding, growth, and development of key Routeware reseller partners. The individual in this role will establish executive-level partner relationships, build quarterly and ad-hoc business plans, design and deliver sales and technical training, and lead/manage to- and through- partner marketing activities.


  • Develop business territory plans with our partner ecosystem and deliver against joint targets within your territory
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional stakeholders to leverage existing sales enablement, global partner enablement, services and customer success on messaging, methodology and best practices
  • Work with internal stakeholders to develop strategies and initiatives to drive adoption of products and continued expansion at our customers
  • Frequently communicate with stakeholders, providing key leaders with success metrics
  • Produce results independently as well as collaboratively
  • Identify and close new partnerships to drive growth.
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Sales and Marketing department
  • Project manage partner operations and grow relationships
  • Coordinate the technical and marketing launches of integrated partnerships


  • 6+ years of experience in the software industry doing business development, strategic alliances, and/or channel sales.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated ability closing opportunities, managing multiple projects and effectively negotiating agreements.
  • Experience with alliances with, or selling into, one or more of these environments: Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, Application Hosting Providers, other Cloud infrastructure.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, able to blend technology vision and business strategy to identify new partner opportunities.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and architectural scenarios, and explain them to others concisely, in words and images
  • Experience in identifying market opportunities with a track record of instigating go-to-market plans and subsequent sales follow-through
  • Ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audience and present the business value aspects of the proposition
  • Exceptional track record of leveraging a partner ecosystem to build and close deals in a territory by working across all levels of the organization, from developer to the executive ranks
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
