    POSITION OVERVIEW

    This manager is a hands-on leader, mentor, and owner of the various systems and processes around invoicing our customers, collecting of payments, and reporting to management. This role will ensure the accuracy of our Sales Tax and VAT filings as well as the oversight and management of our CECL (Current Expected Credit Losses) policies. This role will strongly partner with our customers and other departments as well as drive the success of three or more remote employees focused on customer payment collections and accurate processing of customer invoices. This role will be a critical partner with system implementations and improvements, policy and procedure definition as well as risk mitigation.

    RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

    • Mentor two or more collections specialists to determine and hit a weekly collections target as well as identify and drive to conclusion any customer payment disputes.
    • Mentor one or more invoicing specialists to accurately invoice our customers both in timing and specifics as determined by a variety of company policies and customer agreement terms.
    • Manage, implement, and improve our CECL policies.
    • Manage credit card and direct payment billing and cash application process.
    • Update and maintain our AR sub-ledger to General Ledger reconciliation.
    • Manage our Avalara tax engine integration and ensure accurate sales tax calculation, collection, and submission processes.
    • Conduct period-over-period flux analysis of all billing and collection activity.

      QUALIFICATIONS

      • Strong working knowledge of the Sage Intacct Financial System for Account Receivables and Collections.
      • 5+ years of accounts receivable and collection experience for multi-national and multi-currency companies.
      • 3+ years of experience in mentoring and managing teams with at least one year of experience managing 100% remote teams.
      • Clear written and oral communication skills via multiple platforms and tools.
      • Desire to engage both as a direct contributor and as a thought leader.
      • Proven track record of simplifying complexity out of the day-to-day process and procedures.
      • Proven track record of driving process improvement, reductions of outstanding receivables, and team mentorship.
      • Experience with collocation tools such as High Radius.
      • BA/BS degree in accounting or related, or equivalent experience.
